BOOM! J

I sat up. No, it wasn’t morning yet. BOOM! I saw a flash of light pour into the room and disappear again like a giant camera. Then I heard a rumbling sound. It sounded like a grumpy mum telling someone off.

Then I heard a sort of whimpering sound coming from the bed below me. “Roxy?” I called into the darkness. “Never mind,” I thought. “She must have fallen asleep again.”

I heard the rain parachuting onto the roof. “Sounds more like hail” I thought. I was feeling so tired by then, I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.

When the rain (or hail) had died down, the wind started up, growling like a wolf. It sounded like a tornado, (in the morning I realised that it couldn’t have been one). Finally, the wind died down and I could sleep in peace.  By K8y!!! J
